National Payroll Week 2025 - Celebrating Our Team!

National Payroll Week (NPW) was launched by the CIPP in 1998 to recognise and celebrate the vital role of the pay profession across the UK.

On the surface, payroll may just look like numbers, calculations, spreadsheets and deadlines. But for those who truly understand - it’s so much more! A smoothly run payroll looks after everyone in the business and beyond – especially in our case, where we’re responsible for the livelihoods of thousands of temporary workers and their families.

This National Payroll Week, we encourage you to think differently about payroll. Speaking to our very own Payroll Officer, Georgie, we’ve explored the nuances of payroll and the deeper impact it has.

When pay isn’t quite right, it can understandably be a sensitive issue. That’s why we’re here to listen, explain or make things right. Payroll are problem solvers, helping things run smoothly and keeping the trust intact. 

Georgie - “I enjoy pushing last minute things through - helping the worker out with a last minute advance is really rewarding.”

🔍 We’re constantly innovating

With ever changing legislation, we have to be one step ahead with implementing processes, new systems, new adaptations – there’s never a dull day. As we continue to grow, we’re exploring new technologies and innovations to create opportunities and support growth!  

Georgie – “One of my favourite things is helping others, e.g. explaining why we’ve done something and showing them the investigative process to learn for next time.”

🤝 We get to see our immediate impact

Timely and accurate payments reduces stress and financial uncertainty for workers, and values their hard work. We have a front row seat in overseeing the contractors we are trusted to support in their freelance journey, in addition to being able to see the successes of our agency partners week in, week out.

Our payroll department are the heartbeat of our business, so this week is to celebrate them - the dream team of Lil and Georgie!
