After communicating for some weeks with our employees, we are delighted to have gone live with our new workplace pension provider, Jarvis.

We are excited to be partnering with Jarvis on such a crucial employee benefit – that of providing Umbrella employees with comprehensive pension support.

This change should provide our employees with a better user experience, improved customer service and a clear insight into retirement options. Guided by Jarvis' simple platform, employees will be able to receive personalised retirement guidance and customise their investment strategy.

Who are Jarvis?

Jarvis is not just another pension brand. It is a workplace pension designed for modern contractors and individuals who want clarity on their financial future. By shifting the focus from abstract pension jargon to a tangible retirement age target - based on each user’s lifestyle aspirations and current assets - Jarvis aims to reshape the UK pensions landscape. By focusing on a retirement age target, Jarvis transforms the UK pensions experience. Some current employers that entrust Jarvis' user-focused approach include ANNA Money, QDOS Contractor and the Daily Mail Group (This is Money). Think of Jarvis as a personal financial sat-nav, guiding you to retire with confidence.

What happens with the previous NEST Pension?

Workplace pension contributions are now being paid to Jarvis, so any contributions that have already been made to NEST pensions will remain with them. There may be a benefit in consolidating pensions in one easy to manage fund – workers should check to see if it is the right thing for them. The Jarvis app can help with this, and will not only let customers consolidate pension pots, but also help track ones that may have been forgotten about. Bringing them all together is easy, allowing employees to see a precise view of retirement.

What if an employee doesn’t want to use Jarvis?

As an employer, we will only provide one workplace pension scheme, but appreciate that individuals may wish to use another provider. Should anyone wish this, you can easily transfer the pension contributions from Jarvis, to a provider of your choice.

Can employees opt out of the scheme?

As before, yes – employees have to be enrolled in the scheme before they’re able to opt out though! Once employees have been enrolled, they will receive a welcome email from Jarvis that details how to opt- out at the bottom of the email. You can also opt out by emailing support@pensionjar.com

Once an employee has been enrolled into the pension scheme, they have one calendar month during which they can opt out and get a full refund of any contributions made.

Who do employees speak to regarding any questions to do with the pension scheme?

Email Jarvis at support@pensionjar.com or reach out to Jarvis on their live chat support on the website or app. Or – us! Should you have any queries or concerns, our team are on hand to help. Contact your dedicated account manager or contactus@clippercontracting.co.uk
